MEET THE FIRE CHIEF

Meet  Fire Chief Travis Hewitt. Travis started his career at Halsey-Shedd FD as a volunteer in 2004 and became the staff captain/ training officer 2010. Travis was promoted to Fire Chief June of 2017. When Travis was a volunteer he was very dedicated to the department and  was awarded firefighter of the year in 07,08,09 and 10. He was awarded EMT of the year in 08,09.

Guy Miller          502

Guy started his career at Halsey-Shedd RFPD in 1989. He was firefighter of the year in 1990, EMS of the year 95,98,99 and 2007.​

Staff Captain/Training Officer  

Sean Johnson    503

Sean started his volunteer career in 1995 as a senior at Central Linn. He was a volunteer Captain for many years before taking the Staff Captains position at Tangent Fire District. Sean then accepted the Staff Captain/ Training Officers position here at Halsey-Shedd RFPD in July of 2017. Sean has received Rookie of the year in 1995 and Firefighter of the year in 2011 and 2015.

                                       Micheal has been with Halsey-Shedd RFPD
                                       since 2014. He won 2015 Rookie of                                                      the year and Firefighter of the                                                             year 2016, 2017,2018 and 2020. Micheal                                            has been the President of Volunteer                                                  Firefighter Association since April 2017.

                                       Joe has been with Halsey-Shedd RFPD                                                since 2004. Joe is Apparatus Operator                                               and a First Responder. Joe has been Vice                                          President of Volunteer Firefighter                                                        Association since August of 2017

                                       Dave has been with Halsey-Shedd RFPD                                              since 2018. Dave is a EMT and he                                                       has been Secretary of the Volunteer                                                   Association since 2020.
